All classes held at de Stafford, William Road, Oakwood and the Keys continue throughout the holidays - with the exceptions listed below.
We are also putting on lots of extra summer holiday classes for all ages. Please scroll down this newsletter for details.

If you miss any of your usual classes due to family holidays, you are welcome and encouraged to make them up by attending additional classes when you return. Classes are held throughout the week, so please phone the office to arrange this. See article below for more information.

Kindergym pre-school classes at William Road, Caterham do not run during school holidays.

Family Holidays

Those of you who miss classes due to family holidays are welcome and encouraged to make up the time by attending additional classes when you come back. Please note however that this facility is only available during school holidays. (During term time all classes are full so this facility would not be viable.)
If you would like advice as to which classes would be suitable to make up time, ask your coach or phone the office on 08454 30 20 31.

Progress medal winners

Periodically, all Saturn V gymnasts put on a class display and parents are invited. The purpose of this is to give parents the opportunity to see how their children are progressing and for children to have the experience of performing in front of an audience. After each class display, the gymnast who, in the opinion of the coaches, has made the most progress since the last display is presented with a medal.

Members' satisfaction survey

Congratulations to our coach Stacey Rodd who achieved the highest overall score in the June members' satisfaction survey. She achieved an impressive average score of 8.28 out of 10. Stacey coaches at the Oakwood branch.
Many thanks to all of you who took the time to complete the survey. Your comments are really appreciated and help us to improve the service we and all the coaches provide.

Winner of the July prize draw which is included with the members' satisfaction survey was Evelyn Saunders. Evelyn is 3 and attends Kindergym classes at William Road. She wins for her parents, a three course meal for 2 with wine - courtesy of the Good Companions bar and restaurant in Hamsey Green.

Summer Holiday Trampolining Mega Sessions

The Summer Holiday Trampoline Mega Sessions will be on Wednesday 1st August and Wednesday 29th August. Minimum age for mega sessions is 6, unless already attending trampolining classes, in which case we can take from school age.

Both will be held at The Rebound Hall, William Road, Caterham on the Hill from 12.45 to 2.45. Cost is £7.80.

Summer Holiday Fundays

The summer holiday Fundays are on Thursday 2nd August and Thursday 30th August.
These will be held as before at the Keys Centre in Horley. Children living in the Caterham district will travel by coach from The Rebound Hall in William Road, Caterham on the Hill, leaving at 9.30am. They will return again at 4.30pm. Cost is £17.30.

Children living closer to Horley, can make their own way to the Keys Centre and the cost is reduced to £14.20.
Times are 11.00am to 3.00pm.
Places are limited-please book early to avoid being disappointed.

Summer Holiday Kindergym Funtimes

There will be four summer holiday Kindergym Funtimes. They are on Wednesday 8th August from 12.45 to 1.45 and 1.45 to 2.45 and
Wednesday 22nd August from 12.45 to 1.45 and 1.45 to 2.45.
All will be held at The Rebound Hall, William Road, Caterham on the Hill.
The Funtimes are for Kindergym age children from 2 1/4 and older siblings up to the age of 7.
Cost is £6.00 per session and includes a drink and biscuit.

William Road available for private hire

During school holidays, when the special needs schools and Kindergym are not in for their classes, we offer the available time slots to our members.

You can use the time booked for a family trampolining session, or for extra coaching for you and a few others, or even for some organised trampolining games for your family.

Sole use of the centre, complete with qualified trampoline coach is available for the same cost that the schools have during term time on contract - £28.50 per hour.

Recent Competitions

On June 23rd we held the inter club sports acro and tumbling competition at the Keys Centre in Horley.
The gymnasts, whose ages ranged from 7 to 15, all performed in front of a panel of judges, an exacting routine of 10 elements with a partner. They also performed 3 tumble runs each. Medals were awarded for the highest scorers and all children received a certificate of achievement for taking part.

The competition concluded with an impressive acro and dance routine from the Thursday "Rodd Squad" who are pictured here.

Trampoline Competition

Children from Horley, Caterham, Oxted, Reigate, Selsdon, Warlingham and Hurst Green all took part in the inter club trampolining competition at Moorhouse School on 9th June.

The viewing gallery was packed with parents and family of the trampolinists who all put on an excellent display for their audience. Medals were awarded for the highest scorers in each category
